MDCT Findings of Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysms Involving Two Coronary Sinuses: Case Report
نویسنده
چکیده
cardiac anomaly (1). SVA most commonly originates in the right coronary sinus of Valsalva (75-90%), the noncoronary sinus (10-25%), and rarely, in the left sinus (1, 2). Unruptured SVA usually remains asymptomatic, but it can sometimes cause cardiac arrhythmia, myocardial ischemia, or systemic embolic events (1-3). Multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) is a useful modality for examining the anatomy of the heart, but there have been few radiologic reports of sinus of Valsalva aneurysms diagnosed by MDCT. We report here a case of an unruptured leftand non-coronary sinus of Valsalva aneurysms detected by MDCT.

Surviving All Odds: A Unique Case of Multiple Congenital Unruptured Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysms Involving Both Left and Right Coronary Sinuses with Biventricular Dysfunction and Heart Block
Aneurysms of the sinus of Valsalva are very uncommon, with an incidence ranging from 0.1 to 3.5% of all congenital heart defects. Very few cases have been reported in the literature that presented with involvement of two or more sinuses. We report a case of 27-year-old male with a history of exertional breathlessness of one-month duration. After complete evaluation using transesophageal echocar...
متن کاملپارگی آنوریسم سینوس والسالوای راست به داخل بطن راست در یک خانم 30 ساله با نقص همزمان دیواره بین بطنی
Aneurysms of sinus of Valsalva are rare cardiac abnormalities. They are dilatations of the aortic sinuses and are classified as congenital or acquired. If located in the right coronary sinus they are usually ruptured into right heart chambers and frequently a ventricular septal defect coexists with this condition. This paper reports a 30-year-old woman with ruptured aneurysm of the right sinus ...
متن کاملBicuspid Aortic Valve: An Unusual Cause of Aneurysm of Left Coronary Sinus of Valsalva
Bicuspid aortic valve is traditionally considered an innocuous congenital anomaly. Due to a better and widespread availability of non-invasive imaging techniques, it has come to the fore that 30% of these cases develop complications, viz., valve abnormality (aortic regurgitation and stenosis), and aneurysm of aortic root and ascending aorta. Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is an uncommon complicatio...
متن کاملCoexistence of giant aneurysm of sinus of Valsalva and coronary artery aneurysm associated with idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome.
Aneurysms of the coronary sinuses of Valsalva and coronary artery aneurysms are uncommon cardiac anomalies, and cases in which these two uncommon lesions occur at the same time are extremely rare. A case of a woman with unstable angina who had a giant aneurysm of the left coronary sinus and multiple coronary artery aneurysms associated with an idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome is presented....
متن کاملInfected aneurysm of sinus of Valsalva. Report of a case with involvement of all three sinuses.
Aneurysm of the sinus of Valsalva is not an uncommon disorder. Its incidence has been estimated at 3 5 per cent of surgical congenital heart diseases, and the condition can be diagnosed with a fair degree of certainty on clinical and haemodynamic grounds and is amenable to surgery in a fair number of cases (Taguchi et al., I969). The majority of the cases show involvement of one, and some cases...
